Description

PRE-REQUISITES:  This series is only available to NDMTSS teams that have completed NDMTSS: Developing Pathways for Academics.

REGISTRATION: An MOU is required to register for this event. Contact Cheryl Hoggarth - cheryl.hoggarth@k12.nd.us for more details about the MOU.

This training, intended for school leadership teams, will focus on innovation of the NDMTSS model with emphasis on:

  1. Data collection and disaggregation 
  2. Data-driven decision making
  3. Problem solving for the student, classroom, and systems level

Monitoring practices will be developed to determine if the system is having a positive impact on student learning with a strong focus on fidelity and outcome data. Opportunities for collaboration and to observe MTSS in action within the cohort will be organized. 

OBJECTIVES: 

  • Evaluate research-based interventions 
  • Determine effectiveness of Placement Pathways 
  • Begin the process for assisting teachers in analyzing data for trends in student growth or stagnancy

DELIVERY:  This professional learning series will be offered as a combination of 1 one-hour virtual kickoff, 4 full-day face-to-face sessions, 2 two-hour online coaching calls, and a facilitation of the SAND.

PRESENTER:  Wayne Callender (national RTI consultant at Partners for Learning)

AUDIENCE:  School leadership teams of 6-10 individuals; including Administrators (REQUIRED to have at least one); special educators; instructional coaches; MTSS coordinators; lead teachers; counselors.

CREDIT:  2 graduate continuing education credits available for application through VCSU after participating in all required sessions/activities and submitting application fee.
