Description

REGISTRATION: An MOU is required to register for this event.

PBIS Tier 1 Problem-Solving.  Schools will plan for the identification and teaching of school-wide expectations of behavior. Further, they will develop plans for active supervision, problem behavior identification, classroom management, data collection and data systems. Upon completion, schools will have identified gaps in current practice and have an action plan for steps to improve practice in their building. 

Objectives:

  • Understand PBIS implementation within a multi-tiered system of support
  • Have a global understanding of the core principles of PBIS
  • Understand and identify the 10 critical elements of Tier 1 including developing school-wide expectations and recognizing student success
  • Develop a draft Action Plan for Tier 1 implementation

DELIVERY This multi-day learning series will be delivered exclusively ONLINE over 5 4-hour sessions and 2 virtual coaching calls throughout the year.

AUDIENCES:  School leadership teams of 5-10 individuals; including Administrators (REQUIRED to have at least one principal); District administrators or Curriculum Coordinators; special educators (REQUIRED to have at least one); instructional coaches; MTSS coordinators; general education teachers; behavior specialists.

PRESENTER:  Don Kincaid, Florida PBIS Co-Director

CREDIT:  2 graduate continuing education credits available for application through VCSU after participating in all required sessions/activities and submitting application fee.

COST:  $3,000/team

MOU Required: When clicking "Register" you'll be directed to the MOU for completion. The MOU then needs to be sent to Brandie.Ulland@k12.nd.us to officially complete your team's registration.
